Supervisor, Justin Catlett, said he wanted more financial transparency from PRL. Below are examples of financial documents PRL posts on their website regularly. Mr. Catlett did not specify the issues he had with this level of transparency, and more importantly, how an independent county library would be able to improve on this level of transparency, as nothing shown here compares to what is currently posted by other King William county agencies.
It's important to remember that the Board's current plan to create an independent county library has to be viewed through context. King William would be leaving a regional system with vast and varied resources to create a new library from scratch.
